Benidorm Live!

Derren Litten’s smash hit ITV comedy BENIDORM is set to bring sunshine and smiles to the UK and Ireland as the first ever stage version of the ITV comedy marks its world premiere at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle from Friday 7th September 2018. The show will be produced for the stage by Michael Harrison and David Ian. Litten has written an all new set of Alicante escapades for the much-loved cast members, including Jake  Canuso, Janine Duvitski, Adam Gillen, Sherrie Hewson, Shelley Longworth, and Tony Maudsley as they swap sangria for the stage next year after a quick spruce at the Blow ‘n’ Go! Target Live are working on the press campaign and secured announcement coverage in all regional titles, including front page coverage in the Newcastle Chronicle, Manchester Evening News and Edinburgh Evening News.

Greenwich Winter Time Festival

Opening this Friday, Greenwich Winter Time Festival gives you a 3 hour Christmas experience in the stunning surroundings of the Old Royal Naval College. Each session will include; an amazing on ice skating performance by world class freestylers; up to 6 shows including live music, theatre, children shows, DJ’s; fabulous street performers; London’s specially curated Winter Market; the best food and drink London has to offer; ice skating and the chance to visit Father Christmas in his Greenwich launch pad. Target Live are working on the marketing and media, including ticketing agent activity and social media.

Shrek The Musical

Following a record-breaking UK and Ireland Tour, the smash hit blockbuster Shrek The Musical is back. The tour opens at Edinburgh Playhouse on 12th December for 4 weeks. Target Live are thrilled to be looking after the Marketing, Ticketing, Media buying and Design across the 24 tour dates running through until 2019.

The campaign for Edinburgh has largely consisted of TV, outdoor and digital advertising. We have also worked to take advantage of past data gathered when playing at the Playhouse on the previous tour to market the return as the must see and produce return visitors.  The TV campaign implemented by Target Live has proven to be enormously successful, with another burst of TV yet to come in addition to the previous 2 bursts. The 30 second ad works to demonstrate the pure scale of this amazing production and is a key asset in selling the show!

Laura Main from Call the Midwife will be playing Princess Fiona in Edinburgh and has been able to deliver key PR moments such as being the star of the Edinburgh Christmas light switch on as a Scottish local originally from Aberdeen! Moments like this we have been able to tie in with marketing activity ensuring we have a huge outdoor presence to boost awareness of the show to the hundreds of thousands of people who flocked to watch the light switch on. With the filming of the new EPK taking place in December and a cast photo shoot this week we’re more excited than ever for the tour to kick off.

Men in Motion

International ballet superstar Ivan Putrov’s thrilling celebration of the male dancer Men in Motion returns to the London Coliseum for two performances only on 22 and 23 November. With a cast of award-winning dancers and spanning 100 years in 100 minutes, Men in Motion pays homage to great dancers and choreographers of the past and showcases some of the most exciting dancers of the present.

The programme includes Ivan Putrov recreating Nijinsky’s role in Le Spectre de la Rose  with Francesca Hayward as the young girl. Daniel Proietto reprises Russell Maliphant’s exquisite Afterlight. Matthew Ball performs an extract from Christopher Bruce’s Swansong. Paris Opera Ballet Etoile Mathieu Ganio dances the prince’s solo from Nureyev’s Swan Lake and the legendary Irek Mukhamedov premieres a new work created for him by Arthur Pita.

The Last Ship

On Sunday it was announced that Sting’s musical, The Last Ship, will receive its UK premiere in a new production at Northern Stage next year, before setting sail on a national tour directed by Lorne Campbell, and featuring Jimmy Nail. Target Live are thrilled to be involved with this project, offering full service support. The tour was announced across the UK with a series of regional press announcements across key titles – following a press trip to the workshop to observe and interview the creative team – including Sting. This secured major print and online coverage to coincide with the on sale announcement date.

Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre launches in York

Target Live client, Lunchbox Theatrical Productions has announced that Europe’s first ever pop-up Shakespearean Theatre – Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre, is set to open in York in Summer 2018 at a hugely successful Media Launch held in the historic city.

Set in a vibrant Shakespearean Village beside Clifford’s Tower in York, Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre promises a thrilling and unique theatrical experience.  The pop-up theatre will combine state-of-the-art scaffolding technology with the historic 13-sided design of a traditional Elizabethan theatre. The 950-capacity space will give audiences an intimate theatrical experience with no one more than 15-metres from the action which will feature four of the Bard’s classics – Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Richard III and A Midsummer’s Nights Dream.

Target Live are thrilled to be involved with this project, offering full service support of Marketing, PR, Design, Digital and Social Media.

The season on sale was announced across national and regional press titles, and generated widespread coverage. The official media launch, held at the prestigious  Grand Hotel & Spa York, was an exclusive opportunity for the city and regional leaders to give their backing to the project, and – along with key media and influencers – hear James Cundall, CEO of Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, and the two Olivier award winning directors Linsday Posner and Damian Cruden attached to the productions, talk in-depth about the development of the project.

Target Live are proud to support three upcoming gala nights for three incredible charities

Platinum selling music icon Ronan Keating leads a star-studded line-up – for one sensational night only – of songs, laughter and variety, at the Phoenix Theatre on 19 November, for the Mane Chance West End Charity Gala Spectacular. Along with a host of other favourites from the world of music, theatre, TV and entertainment supported by a live on-stage band, all profits will be going to Mane Chance charity.

Ian Hislop and Nick Newman take inspiration from real life events for Trial by Laughter on 15 December at the Great Hall, Guildhall London on 15 December. The forgotten hero of free speech, Willian Hone stood trial for ‘impious blasphemy and seditious libel’. The trial took place in December 1817 at The Guildhall and this performance commemorates the bicentenary. Proceeds from the evening will go to charities supporting Freedom of the Press.

Join a world-class line-up of classical musicians in the gala fundraising concert A Child Of Our Time at Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre on 15 January. The London Philharmonic Orchestra and Friends present an evening of exquisite music, reflection and hope. All proceeds from this gala performance will go to the Refugee Council’s work with child refugees: unaccompanied children arriving in Britain having fled conflict, trafficking and persecution.

The Death of Stalin

The Death of Stalin, Armando Ianucci’s comedy of terrors, opens in UK cinemas this weekend.

With an all-star cast including Steve Buscemi, Simon Russell Beale, Paddy Considine and Michael Palin, The Death of Stalin combines comedy, drama, pathos and political manoeuvring. And it’s all based on true events!

Target Live has been working on a grassroot campaign alongside Organic for Entertainment One.

Bolshoi Ballet In Cinema

Target Live are pleased to helping Trafalgar Releasing and Pathe with the PR and grassroots campaign for a series of cinema screenings of the Bolshoi Ballet. The 2017/18 season presents the greatest classics restaged by today’s most celebrated choreographers for a cinema-exclusive experience featuring some of the best dancers in the world.

Three historical ballets recreated by Alexei Ratmansky (Le Corsaire, Romeo and Juliet and The Flames of Paris) will be shown on the big screen alongside John Neumeier’s The Lady of the Camellias and Jean-Christophe Maillot’s riveting The Taming of the Shrew. Three timeless classics and audience favorites will complete the season: Giselle, The Nutcracker and Coppélia.

Don’t miss the first production, which will be shown live from Moscow, in cinemas across the UK this Sunday 22nd October.

Young Frankenstein press night

Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein opened at the Garrick Theatre last night, playing to a star-studded audience. The audience were howling with laughter from start to finish, giving the cast a well-deserved standing ovation, before being treated to a hilarious speech from Mel himself, in which the cast discovered they would not be fired! Reviews have since been pouring in, with multiple 5* Star reviews including the Guardian and the Daily Mail.
