Meltdown is Southbank Centre’s annual festival with 10 days of one-off gigs and events curated by a different artist each year. Rapper M.I.A. was the 24th director, and her Meltdown was deemed “a triumph” by The Guardian, “with a diverse, young crowd watching the likes of French afro-trap star MHD and queer-rap pioneer Mykki Blanco”, amongst many invited artists. Target Live worked with Southbank Centre to deploy a focused marketing campaign including social media, online advertising, press advertising, and flyposting.
World famous children’s TV favourites the Teletubbies have announced their first ever stage tour, which will premiere in Manchester in November 2017 before touring the UK.
Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po have been captivating babies and toddlers since they first burst on to TV screens 20 years ago and now the four colourful characters are going live for the first time – to star in the theatre show “Big Hugs”, created especially for the youngest audience.
Teletubbies Live has been created and adapted for the stage by Richard Lewis, who has also created and directed Peppa Pig Live and is produced by leading children’s theatre team, Fiery Light, in collaboration with licensor DHX Brands.

YANK! The Musical
“Some stories didn’t make it into the history books”. This summer, Charing Cross Theatre will be the home of YANK!, transferring to London following a highly acclaimed run at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester. Based on the Off-Broadway hit production, this compelling musical is a poignant love story based on the true hidden history of gay soldiers during World War Two. Casting has just been announced, which sees the return of some members of the original Manchester production with some exciting new additions. Target Live are working with the producers Aria Entertainment to deploy a focused marketing and PR campaign including ticketing agent support, social media, grassroots marketing, partnerships, online advertising and press advertising.
Following the awful events at Manchester Arena, theatre company Northern Rep – a client of Target Live’s Manchester office – staged a weekend of script in-hand performances of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to raise funds for the Manchester Victims Fund, started by the Manchester Evening News following the tragedy.
In place of buying a ticket to the performances, at Northern Rep’s home in the in the Great Northern Warehouse leisure complex in the city, attendees were asked to make a donation – no matter how big or small – 100% of which was donated to the Fund.

Rip It Up
This autumn, Strictly stars Jay McGuiness, Natalie Lowe and Louis Smith will swing, bop, jitterbug, lindy hop, jive and ballroom through the greatest songs from the 50s in an extensive UK tour. Target Live are working with the producers Neil O’Brien Entertainment to deploy a national marketing campaign including ticketing agent support, social media, website development, online advertising and press advertising. We are also working locally with 45 tour venues to ensure maximum coverage of the event.
Park Theatre’s 4th Birthday
London’s Park Theatre has celebrated its 4th birthday with a stunning and star-studded gala evening. The venue, represented by Target Live’s PR team, has enjoyed critical acclaim and increasing notoriety during its first four years. Its current productions Madame Rubinstein (starring Miriam Margolyes) and tick, tick… BOOM! by Jonathan Larson alone have already amassed six Offie Award nominations collectively. Park Theatre’s public profile continues to grow, with the first show of the new season – a one man show starring Sir Ian McKellen – opening a fantastic programme of new writing, world premieres and eagerly-anticipated revivals.
Target Live is proud to have sponsored the Best Actress Award at this year’s ‘The Mousestraps’. Now in its 6th year, The Mousetraps are voted for by over 500 young theatregoers aged 15 – 23. The awards ceremony, produced by The Mousetrap Theatre Projects Youth Forum, was held on Sunday 6 May at Charing Cross Theatre.
The award for Best Actress was won by Noma Dumezweni for her performance as Hermione in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Marking an appearance at Sunday’s ceremony in between performances of Part 1 and Part 2 of Harry Potter, Noma was full of praise for the other nominees and had a message for the younger members of the audience: “I remember being young and it’s a scary, wonderful feeling. Just keep going. Enjoy yourself and stop worrying what other people think”.
The Simon & Garfunkel Story
After touring to every corner of the world, The Simon & Garfunkel Story is now heading into London’s West End. Coming to the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue for a special four month season, the internationally acclaimed immersive production takes audiences through the story of Simon & Garfunkel’s incredible career.
The Simon & Garfunkel Story not only tells the tale of the legendary musicians, but relives their journey within a time capsule of contemporary newsreels, adverts and film footage from the 1960s and beyond.
Led by Sam O’Hanlon (Paul Simon) and Charles Blyth (Art Garfunkel), a full live band and brass ensemble rekindles all the duo’s classic hits including: Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, The Sound of Silence and many more.
Requiem For Aleppo
The Target Live team have been thrilled to give PR, marketing and design support to Requiem for Aleppo, a brand new work which premiered on Sunday 23 April at Sadler’s Wells. Composed and produced by David Cazalet with choreography by Jason Mabana, and 12 dancers from around the world, Requiem for Aleppo features dazzling contemporary dance set to original music, with proceeds going to support the work of Syria Relief and Techfugees. The star studded premiere, that was totally sold out, was introduced by BBC World Affairs Editor John Simpson and was livestreamed across the world by Techfugees.

Cheek by Jowl – The Winter’s Tale
