Southbank Centre Cover Wrap
On Thursday 29 March we had a cover wrap in the Evening Standard to announce the reopening of two iconic venues at the Southbank Centre: the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room. After almost three years of refurbishment both venues will open their doors to the public on Monday 9 April 2018 with a vibrant programme of music, gigs, dance and performance.

The Last Ship's Launch
Sting’s personal and passionate musical The Last Ship was officially launched at Northern Stage Newcastle last night – earning a rousing reception and critical acclaim with 5 and 4 star reviews. Tuesday night saw Sting and other famous North East faces – including Alan Shearer and Denise Welch – attend a red carpet gala raising funds for local charity The Graham Wylie Foundation. Following its Tyneside run the show sets sail on a major UK & Ireland tour vising cities including Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds and Salford.

St Petersburg Ballet Theatre at the London Coliseum
The internationally acclaimed St Petersburg Ballet Theatre’s production of the world’s most loved ballet Swan Lake comes to the London Coliseum from 22 – 26 August. Joining the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre for this production will be the renowned prima ballerina Irina Kolesnikova and Denis Rodkin (Bolshoi Ballet).

The Manchester Theatre Awards
The Manchester Theatre Awards – in Association with Target Live - were held on Friday 9 March at The Lowry..The awards - the most important theatrical prize-giving outside London – honoured productions seen in Manchester in 2017.Winners included Opera North, Curve’s Sunset Boulevard and productions and performers from the Royal Exchange Theatre and Hope Mill Theatre.Account Director Emma King presented the Target Live Best Visiting Production Award to English Touring Theatre’s The Weir.

Following a sell-out season last year, The Wipers Times will be returning to the Arts Theatre this October. Ian Hislop and NIck Newman’s acclaimed play is inspired by the true story of soldiers in the midst of the Somme who created their own satirical newspaper.

WOW – Women of the World Festival
WOW – Women of the World Festival returns to Southbank Centre. The festival celebrates women and girls and looks at the obstacles that stop them from achieving their potential. As a global network of festivals it provides a platform for celebrating what has been achieved, and exploring all the ways we can change the world for the better. This 8th annual instalment marks the 100th anniversary since some women got the vote in the UK, and when #MeToo shook the world.

The Moderate Soprano
Jeremy Herrin’s acclaimed production of David Hare’s The Moderate Soprano to have West End premiere in April 2018, following a sold out run at Hampstead Theatre in 2015. Roger Allam and Nancy Carroll will reprise roles of Glyndebourne founder John Christie and his wife Audrey Mildmay with further casting to be announced.

We are pleased to be working with The Cogency once again on 14-18 NOW, a programme of extraordinary artistic experiences connecting people with the First World War from 2014 to 2018. This is timed to mark the centenary of the war, which engulfed Europe, Asia and Africa from 1914-1918Famous amongst many for the Poppies: Wave and Weeping Window sculptures that toured the UK, 14-18 NOW is commissioning artists from the UK and around the world to look afresh at this conflict and to create shared experiences exploring this significant moment in time.

The Manchester Theatre Awards
Nominations have been announced for the forthcoming Manchester Theatre Awards to be held at The Lowry on Friday 9 March, hosted by actor and comedian Justin Moorhouse.
The annual awards – the most important theatrical prize-giving outside London – has been a major fixture of the North West cultural calendar since 1981 and will honour productions seen in Greater Manchester during 2017.
The Manchester Theatre Awards are in association with Target Live, whose Manchester office will be managing the PR for the forthcoming awards.

Maly Drama Theatre
The legendary Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg - described by Peter Brook as ‘the finest ensemble theatre in Europe’ - returns to London this spring for a strictly limited engagement for the first time in over a decade, with the UK première of Vasily Grossman’s epic novel, Life and Fate, and their celebrated production of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket. Both productions will be performed in Russian with English surtitles.
